Before I was born, when I was designing myself as a character for the real world, I must've been a total idiot.  Taking both a stress disorder and depression was a stupid idea, and I can't imagine what made me think it would work out in any way other than how it has.

Every game has a story.  Even Tetris has a story.  It isn't a particularly engaging story, and mostly involves falling blocks rotating and swaying in space for no reason, but it is a narrative.  Every game has a narrative. The trouble with this narrative is that, for the game to be a game, the narrative cannot be a single, unitary narrative.  That's called a "story," which is a very different thing from a "game."  For most games, the narrative branch at all the points where you can "fail."  Interestingly, you get more sophisticated narratives out of games that most of the literary cargo cultists would say have no narrative, such as wargames.

So, this is the second journal entry in a row where I apologize for being invisible.  The sad and simple fact is that my life isn't a roller-coaster, it's just a coaster.  It slides down and down.  At this point, I'm getting back into the things that distracted me from the ways in which my life goes to shit. Anybody need to hire a law librarian? Anyways, I have been working on some stuff in gaming to tie up my stress a bit, and if anybody's actually interested in my RPG stuff (did some stuff in dying earth genres, pulp proto-superheroes, and other stuff), I can talk about it.  Otherwise, I'm not sure what to say.
